在新一年首個主日崇拜上，以馬內利教會立志遵行神的旨意，並鼓勵會眾「要思念上面的事，不是思念地上的事」。

新的一年伊始，每個人都會有新的目標和計劃，但是宣教士提醒更要在基督裏成為新造的人。並帶著新的自我認識，以及將自己視為新造的人來看待，由此他進一步強調他們的生活方式和焦點也要改變：要仰望天上的，尋求祂的國和義來生活。

其次，宣教士引用使徒保羅的教導：「因為你們已經死了」，但因著耶穌所付上的代價而在基督裡獲得了生命，「所以我們的生活不應該放縱世俗的慾望，而應該榮耀主」，他補充道。

最後，他以約翰福音十10結束講道，講到主所指示的道路是活出天父的旨意，透過祂的生活，每個人都可以看到「得生命，並且得的更豐盛」的生活。

崇拜結束後，會眾紛紛抽取自己的新年經文，並互相祝福。

Immanuel Church Offers First Sunday Service in 2025: Set Your Minds on Things Above

On the first Sunday service in new year, Immanuel Church set their hearts for God’s purpose and encouraged congregants to “set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

As starting a year, everyone may have their new goals and plans, however missionary urged to be the new creation in Christ instead. With a new identity and seeing themselves as new creation, he further emphasized their lifestyle and focus should be changed: to look upon the heaven to seek His Kingdom and righteousness.

Secondly, missionary quoted from apostle Paul’s teaching: “for you died” but gained life in Christ with a price Jesus laid for them, “therefore we should not live a life of indulgence in worldly desire, but glorify the Lord,” he added.

Finally, he concluded the sermon with John 10:10 addressing the path the Lord showed is to live out the will of His Father in heaven, and through His life, everyone can see the life of “having life, and having it to the full”.

Following the service, congregants all picked their own scripture of New Year, and had greeting of new year for each other.
