Immanuel Sunday: The Miracle at Bethesda
On April 21, Immanuel Church meditated on an important topic of faith – “salvation” from John 5:1-9, to help congregants to bridge the Bible stories to their own stories. Especially, there are newcomers and young believers to join Sunday services.
In service, missionary addressed that salvation is spiritual. It looks like people are alive physically, but they are dead spiritually. Therefore, “our spirit must be live again and be able to connect with God,” he added.
Due to the fall of man, “we do not understand God’s words (blind), do not know how to love (paralyzed), and even do not have the will to change (lame),” however Jesus came to this world, bringing them the true light and love, as well as hope, and manifesting the life of a “true man” to them.
“There is no greater miracle than ‘changing a person’, but this miracle at Bethesda does happen within us,” so that missionary encouraged everyone to experience and testify this miracle of salvation in their daily lives.
